Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 18, 2026
The short version: Pixelry does not collect personal data, does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not track you. Your photos never leave your device.
Who We Are
Pixelry is developed by Neowelt Interactive, a solo indie game studio based in Sweden. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it refers to Neowelt Interactive.
Data We Do Not Collect
Pixelry does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Account credentials (no accounts exist)
- Location data
- Device identifiers for advertising
- Browsing or search history
- Your photos or images (see Photo Access below)
Photo Access
Pixelry offers a Photo Puzzle feature that lets you turn a photo from your camera roll into a puzzle. When you use this feature:
- Your photo is processed entirely on your device.
- The photo is pixelized and converted to puzzle data locally.
- No photos are uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server.
- Photo access is requested only when you tap the "Photos" feature. You can deny access and still use all other features.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
Pixelry uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) for two purposes:
- Crash reporting: If the app crashes, a crash report is sent automatically. This report contains technical information about the crash (stack trace, device model, OS version) but no personally identifying information.
- Basic usage analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage data such as which puzzles are played and session duration. This data is not tied to any individual user identity.
Firebase may collect certain device information as described in Google's Firebase privacy documentation. We do not use this data for advertising or user profiling.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction.
Data Storage
Your puzzle progress and preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data is not synced to any cloud service and is not accessible to us.
Third-Party Services
Pixelry uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash reporting
- Apple StoreKit — in-app purchase processing
No advertising SDKs, social media SDKs, or user tracking frameworks are included in the app.
Children's Privacy
Pixelry is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, no special provisions are necessary.
Data Retention
Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Crash reports and anonymous analytics are retained by Firebase according to Google's standard retention policies.
Your Rights
Under GDPR and other privacy regulations, you have rights regarding your personal data. Since Pixelry does not collect personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied. If you have questions or concerns, contact us at the address below.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
